At a massive 48 metres tall, this Ancient Roman building is still just about standing, and is as impressive as ever. It’s the tallest building from the whole of the Roman period, and today remains one of the most visited places in Rome.

You can get tours every day through this magnificent building, and the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill are nearby, meaning you’ll easily be able to spend a day enjoying Ancient Roman history.

The best times to visit are during the week, as it can get really busy during the weekend. Whenever you go, however, just make sure you book your tickets online. This way you can guarantee yourself tickets and you won’t have to wait in a long line when you get to the building.

As soon as you get inside, you’ll be amazed at the history and culture that dominates the place. It was once a place for 55,000 Romans to enjoy comedy, sports and other fighting games.
