As the oldest and biggest palace in the entire world, the Topkapi is an attraction that has people from everywhere flocking to Istanbul.

Open to the public for tours, you can take a wander round the palace and learn all about the history of the building as you inspect it. Whether you wish to take a visit to the treasury, or to wander over to see the attractive buildings that look directly over the Golden Horn, your visit to the Topkapi Palace is sure to leave you in awe of its beauty.

Once inhabited by all of the Ottoman sultans, the Topkspi combines both practicality and splendour to create something that is simply unique in its magnificence. Situated on over 700m² of land, the palace is surrounded by 1400 metres of fortified walls, broken up with a series of gates, including the infamous Imperial Gate, as well as both the Otluk and Demir openings.
